Finding an open access journal for your biomedical article
This course is about oa.finder, a web-based tool for identifying journals which enable authors to meet open access requirements from granting and funding institutes.

- the basics of what oa.finder is and its data sources
- where to find the UZH- and USZ institute-specific search option for oa.finder
- tips for prioritizing and filtering search results for biomedical journals
- links for more OA resources from the UZH Open Science Office
Basic understanding of the open access “roads” green and gold Basic understanding of closed, hybrid, and open access publishing models in the biomedical journal landscape
- Physicians, university hospital researchers, nurses and other healthcare professionals
- Students in medicine, healthcare-related fields and biomedical sciences who publish results in biomedical journals
No preparation is required. Familiarity with your granting or funding institute’s requirements regarding public access to reporting of research findings would be beneficial.
